I shudder to think how many pickup trucks Porsche could actually sell here though...

The engine-in-bed combo would be a tough sell, though.

Somewhat related... I really do wonder why Mercedes doesn’t bring the X-Class here. Would that eat into G-wagon sales? Do they not want to compete with the Ridgeline?

They aren’t bringing it down here? I would’ve thought something like that would sell like hotcakes.

For some reason , I don’t see a Porsche truck catching on. It just does’t seem very practical.

Ask yourself...would you spend 60 grand on what is mostly (apart from better packaging and suspension development) a 2019 Frontier that you could get from a Nissan dealer for 40 grand?

Nope. Chicken Tax kills it dead unless Nissan makes it locally for M-B. Then there’s the price tag...

Oh, right. I forgot that was still a thing.

I’m guessing it’s because this first generation is a rebadged Nissan. If this is successful, I’m sure the next one will be a Mercedes through and through and they will bring that one over

Someone once told me that he looks like country Paul McCartney and I’ve never been able to unsee it.

Just because your customers have no use for a truck bed doesn’t mean you can successfully sell them a truck with a useless bed.
Pictured: Case in point.

I love it. Because nobody would ever mistake it for a real Porsche. It’s just good meme
